Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field and onsite visits to understand environmental review needs and gather data for assessments.
  • Perform research and analysis to support NEPA/SEPA compliance and identify appropriate solutions to environmental challenges.
  • Collaborate with environmental scientists, engineers, technicians, and regulatory experts to resolve environmental issues and support project objectives.
  • Prepare project documentation, environmental reports, impact statements, proposals, and presentations in alignment with EN’s expectations.
  • Review federal, state (WA), and local environmental requirements and ensure project activities remain compliant.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to EN management on environmental objectives, targets, and project progress.
  • Identify existing and potential environmental issues and assist in developing strategies for mitigation and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor project effectiveness and verify adherence to applicable environmental policies, rules, permits, and standards.
  • Keep EN informed about changes in environmental laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to project operations.
  • Support regulatory activities including permitting, transmittals, compliance reporting, and environmental analysis.

Skills:

  • Environmental Regulatory Knowledge: NEPA/SEPA compliance, NPDES permitting, stormwater management (SWPPP), air permitting, radioactive air emissions, solid waste disposal, and pollution prevention.
  • Permitting & Compliance: Experience with water rights applications, environmental impact statement preparation, and community right-to-know requirements.
  • Environmental Assessments: Ability to conduct site inspections, fieldwork, and environmental evaluations.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Strong skills in preparing environmental reports, compliance documents, proposals, and presentations.
  • Environmental Management Systems: Familiarity with EMS frameworks and regulatory-driven management processes.
  • Regulatory Analysis: Experience interpreting federal, state (WA), and local environmental laws and site-related requirements.
  • Technical Collaboration: Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and regulatory experts.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication for reporting, stakeholder updates, and regulatory correspondence.
