Music Director/Director of Music – Dryland United Church of Christ
Dryland United Church of Christ seeks an enthusiastic and creative Music Director to lead our music ministry. This part-time role (Approx 10 hours/week) involves directing our adult choir, collaborating with clergy on worship service music, and potentially leading our bell choir. The applicant should have skills in playing both piano, clavinova, and organ. We seek a skilled musician with experience in choral conducting and liturgical music. The following skills are essential for success in this position:
· Skills in leading worship through organ and piano playing, both for congregational singing.
· Skills in instrumental and choral conducting, in voice development, and in worship planning in coordination with the pastor.
· Knowledge of choral repertoire and familiarity with a variety of choral techniques.
· Openness to a wide variety of musical styles.
· Good organizational and communication skills.
· Clear concept of being an integral part of the music and worship team.
· Ability to play and conduct simultaneously.
