Job Description
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases across production, development, and testing environments.
- Provide L2-level support by resolving incidents, alerts, and service requests within SLAs.
- Perform database performance tuning : SQL query optimization, indexing, and resource allocation.
- Handle database backup and recovery using RMAN, Data Pump, and other Oracle utilities.
- Install, configure, and patch Oracle databases, clusters, and associated tools.
- Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard environments for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Administer database users, roles, privileges, and security policies .
- Conduct database health checks , capacity planning, and resource monitoring.
- Support database migration, upgrades, and cloning activities .
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and L3 DBA teams to resolve complex issues.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base for recurring issues.
- Participate in on-call support rotation for database incidents.
