San Fran

I had always wanted to create a more graphic, almost vector style take on the San Francisco skyline, and this morning finally gave me the right conditions to do it. Shooting with a camera like the Hasselblad X2D, built for insane detail and resolution, and then deliberately simplifying the scene into blocks of colour and shape felt like a fun contradiction. All that technical power, used to create something that feels more like digital art than straight photography.

The fog was doing most of the heavy lifting, hiding the lower half of the city and leaving just the tops of buildings poking through. It turned a busy urban skyline into something minimal and layered, where shapes and tones became more important than individual structures. The city almost floats, suspended between soft clouds and open sky.

This was a proper bucket list moment for me. San Francisco has such a distinct skyline, and seeing it reduced to these simple forms felt like capturing its essence in a different way. Less about documenting the place, more about interpreting it.

As a fine art print, this piece works beautifully as modern wall art. The clean shapes and soft fog tones suit contemporary interiors perfectly, adding a calm but visually striking focal point to a space.
