My work in the United States has taken me from Antelope Canyon in Arizona to the Mojave Desert and San Francisco. Solar fields, sandstone and fog create a completely different palette from home.

Crimson Arch

From $450

Antelope Canyon, Page, Arizona, United States

Deep inside Antelope Canyon, sandstone walls curl overhead in sweeping layers of crimson, with a natural arch framing a second glimpse of light beyond. Thousands of years of flash floods have carved and polished these walls into flowing shapes. Standing in the quiet below, the light seems to pour down the rock like liquid.

Up close, the bark of an old pine in Yosemite breaks into plates like a jigsaw, with one deep fissure running through it like a river seen from the air. Warm afternoon light pulls out every layer of rust and copper.

Skyward

Antelope Canyon, Page, Arizona, United States

Looking straight up through a narrow slot in Antelope Canyon, the walls twist and fold in layers of deep red sandstone. A ribbon of light breaks through at the top, lighting the rock from within. Each curve was carved by water over thousands of years, and the canyon feels more like a sculpture than a place.

Beverly Hills Gold II

Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, United States

A vertical companion to Beverly Hills Gold. As the sun sank behind the hills, the haze over Los Angeles turned to molten orange and the old tower stood out in silhouette above the palms. Layer after layer of ridgeline fades into the glow, with a single bird crossing the sky above the dome. A quiet, painterly moment above one of the busiest cities in the world.

Transition

From $450
Description Transition Captured during a fog filled morning at the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, this image came from leaning fully into the atmosphere rather than fighting it. The city was still quiet, the air heavy with mist, and the bridge slowly appeared and disappeared as the fog rolled through, turning an iconic landmark into something soft, surreal and almost dreamlike. Instead of chasing a clear view, I embraced the limited visibility and let the conditions shape the photograph. The structure fades gently into the clouds, with only fragments of the bridge revealing themselves, creating a sense of mystery and calm. It feels less like a documentary image of a famous place and more like a memory, slightly blurred by time and feeling. This was a location I had wanted to photograph for years, and experiencing it like this made it even more special. There was a quiet magic in the air that morning, the kind that makes you slow down, watch, and wait for moments rather than chase them. As a fine art print, this piece brings a soft, atmospheric presence into a space. The muted tones and dreamy mood make it ideal for calm interiors, bedrooms, or any room where you want a sense of stillness and quiet wonder.

San Fran

From $450
Description San Fran I had always wanted to create a more graphic, almost vector style take on the San Francisco skyline, and this morning finally gave me the right conditions to do it. Shooting with a camera like the Hasselblad X2D, built for insane detail and resolution, and then deliberately simplifying the scene into blocks of colour and shape felt like a fun contradiction. All that technical power, used to create something that feels more like digital art than straight photography. The fog was doing most of the heavy lifting, hiding the lower half of the city and leaving just the tops of buildings poking through. It turned a busy urban skyline into something minimal and layered, where shapes and tones became more important than individual structures. The city almost floats, suspended between soft clouds and open sky. This was a proper bucket list moment for me. San Francisco has such a distinct skyline, and seeing it reduced to these simple forms felt like capturing its essence in a different way. Less about documenting the place, more about interpreting it. As a fine art print, this piece works beautifully as modern wall art. The clean shapes and soft fog tones suit contemporary interiors perfectly, adding a calm but visually striking focal point to a space.

Row after row of mirrors at the Ivanpah solar plant curve across the desert floor, catching the low sun and glowing gold. From the air the field becomes a rhythm of lines and texture, broken by a single dark track sweeping through the frame.

It shows a man made landscape in a way few people ever see, and the warm tones give it a timeless, almost vintage feel.

Fractal

Mount Shasta, California

In the forests around Mount Shasta in Northern California, I looked straight down on the treetops and found these star shaped crowns of conifer branches, each tier unfolding into smaller versions of itself, the way a fractal does. Small points of warm light at the centre make the deep emerald tones glow.

One of the more abstract pieces in the collection, rich and textural, for a space that needs something calming but full of detail.
