Description
Kimberley, Western Australia
Two eagle rays glide side by side across a pale sandbar on a Kimberley tide flat, their spotted backs and long tails lined up like a pair of kites. The water shifts from emerald to soft pink over the sand, and for a few seconds they held perfect formation beneath me. Moments like this are pure luck, and a big part of why I keep coming back to the Kimberley coast.
