The story
Dampier Peninsula, near Broome, Kimberley, Western Australia
The sand here has been smoothed by the tide until it shines like silver satin, with a single emerald channel folding through it. It is one of the simplest frames I have made on the Dampier Peninsula, and one of my favourites. Everything comes down to the tide and the light, and on this flight both lined up for a few perfect minutes.
Your print is numbered the moment your order is paid, and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Scott, showing the edition number, size, finish and paper. You will also receive a link to a digital copy and a code anyone can use to verify it.
This edition is strictly limited to 15 prints across every size and finish, plus 2 artist's proofs. It will never be reprinted, re-editioned or released in another size or medium.
Every number is recorded in a permanent register kept by the artist. Numbers are issued in order of purchase and each one belongs to a single certificate, so no two collectors can ever hold the same number.
If this print changes hands, this certificate is retired and a new one is issued to the new owner for the same number, keeping the history of the work unbroken.

The paper
Every print is made on a 100% cotton fine art paper from Hahnemühle or Moab, two of the most respected names in archival printing.
From the air, these landscapes are all texture: salt crusts, tidal channels, wind lines in the sand. A gently textured paper carries some of that onto your wall. As the light in your room moves through the day, the surface catches it and gives the print a quiet, three dimensional depth that smooth photo paper can't.
I match each image to its paper by hand, so the texture always suits the subject.
100% cotton · 308 gsm · made in Germany
A lightly defined felt surface on a clean white base. Soft to the touch, with crisp detail and deep blacks, it holds every grain of sand and ripple of water.
100% cotton · 255 gsm · mould made in England
Made on a traditional cylinder mould at St Cuthberts Mill, with a fine grain and a warm natural white. It has the feel of handmade paper and brings a softness to warm tones, tidal flats and desert country.
The cotton fibres give the surface a gentle relief, so the image shifts softly as the light moves across it.
A matte surface with no shine, so the print reads clearly from any angle in the room.
Acid free cotton paper and archival pigment inks, made to be enjoyed for generations.
