Lady

Captured over the southern reaches of Shark Bay in a Cessna 210, this image immediately reminded me of elegance and grace. The sweeping green channels and darker ridgelines form a pattern that feels almost figurative, like a poised silhouette caught mid-step. The water was glassy that day, and the shallow seafloor created layers of texture that shimmered beneath the surface. There is a natural rhythm here, where lines and colour gradients unfold slowly across the frame. The creamy sand bank that cuts through the greens provides a beautiful contrast and leads the eye effortlessly through the scene. I named it Lady because of its presence. It has that quiet confidence, that calm but powerful energy. It’s not bold or brash. Instead, it draws you in gently, holding your attention with form, balance and tone. It’s the kind of image that keeps giving over time, inviting you to pause and settle into its flow.
