Pot Alley

Shot during the same flight over Rottnest that brought me several pieces in this series, Pot Alley caught my attention with its subtle complexity. The water here was flowing around shallow rock formations and reef beds, creating a winding path that reminded me of a narrow alleyway. From above, the structure almost feels architectural. There’s something rhythmic in the way it moves, curved lines, tonal shifts, soft transitions from deep green to pale aqua. It’s a quieter image than some of the others, but one I come back to often. There’s a softness to it that I find calming. These kinds of scenes don’t shout. They hum. They create a sense of movement and space without being loud. Pot Alley is for those who enjoy detail and subtle energy. It’s grounded, balanced, and layered with quiet complexity. The sort of piece that fits anywhere, but still holds your eye long after you’ve walked past it.
